How Can We Support You?

“We have many support services that include companionship, personal home care, memory and palliative support.  A plan to fit each person individually.”

Our Care

Our Team in Calgary, Okotoks, High River and surrounding areas, provide support in private homes as well as additional personal senior care in Supportive Living and Long Term Care Communities. We are comprised of an incredible group of people. We are Health Care Aides, LPN’s, retired Nurses, grandchildren of Elders, daughters and sons of Dementia and aging. Our Personal Care Plans and Social History Outline allows us to partner the right person for the right requirements. Safely. Consistently. Compassionately.

Personal Care: In addition to Companionship, our Care Managers can help you with more advanced care. Activities to Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, medication reminders) laundry, meal preparation, personal hygiene and general home maintenance, we are here for you.

Companionship: We partner our personal Care Managers in Calgary carefully to ensure that our companionship visits are consistent with long lasting relationships. Our Care Plan for seniors includes a detailed Social History, so we learn about the individual and concentrate on relevant and meaningful activities. Walks, reading, card games, excursions or simple conversation, we would be happy to be there.

Memory Care: Our experienced team of senior care professionals has the background, understanding, and patience to provide safe, meaningful visits for those living with Dementia. Our Care Plan will identify the experience level and personality that is unique to each person we care for.

Summaries: We are an extension of you, and therefore provide regular summaries directly to you so you can read about activities, experiences, concerns or updates. You deserve to know.

Occasional Accompanied Transportation: We treat each one of the individuals we spend time with, like family. If there is an occasional need to accompany you or your family member to a medical or personal appointment, we can certainly help and will arrange for a Care Manager to accompany to, during, and from the appointment.

Hospital Visits: Hospital stays can be lengthy, whether post-operative, or waiting for transition to a Supportive Living Community. Let us help your family, with visiting, helping over meal-times or general Companionship during this time.

Palliative Companionship: Our specialized personal Care Managers can provide experienced, loving and compassionate care during this difficult transition. Whether it is respite for family members, or overnight stays with your loved one, please call us to discuss how we can be there for you.

Respite: Being a primary Caregiver is the most loving, and also one of the most difficult roles in life. At Granddaughters, we recognize that is not only the person we are spending time with, and supporting, it is also the entire family. Our relationships extend to also offer support to those in a Care-giving role, that need time to take themselves. To rejuvenate, rest and embrace their own personal needs for their own care.

Transition Consultation: The decision to move from private home to supportive living community or long term senior care community, can often be stressful and quick. Let us help navigate this process, and guide you through the options that are available, and narrow down the environments that would be the most suitable for you or your loved one.
