How will I know my loved one is in good hands?
At Granddaughters, we are extremely diligent in bringing on the kind of Senior Care Managers that we would trust and embrace with our own family members. Each person is screened and interviewed and is required to produce a Criminal Record Check before joining our team.
Are the Care Managers Employees or Contractors?
We are a family of senior care supporters, and work with each other in all of our daily activities. Because of this, we are proud to have our team as employees of Granddaughters and under our corporate umbrella.
Is your team insured?
Our personal senior care employees are insured under our Corporate Liability Insurance for Granddaughters Personal Care Inc., and under WCB. Your safety and peace of mind is important to us, we want you to be comfortable with your decision to allow us to spend time with your loved one.
What are the credentials of your team?
The team is comprised of a variety of experience, backgrounds, and life history. What is consistent, is the passion that each person has to provide support to this community and to make a difference in the way we approach Elder care. We employ HCA’s, PCA’s, retires LPN’s, retired RN’s, Recreation Therapists, medical students and people with direct life experience. Our role is to understand the individual, the family and the support required and partner the right Care Manager with him/her or them.

Are you a franchise?
No. Since 2009, Granddaughters is a family run, local, incorporated company that prides itself in giving back to the community. We always will.
Do you offer ongoing training?
Yes. We have recently started to offer in-house training specific to the support that we are providing. We pride ourselves on our understanding of Alzheimers, Dementia, and becoming educated in the philosophies of care that reflect our own. Regular team “Tea and Talk” offer time to share stories, and supplement our workshops, further discussing ways of better supporting our families.
