What is the Veterans Independence Program?
The VIP is a government-funded program that recognizes and supports Veterans who need help with daily living. It provides tax-free financial assistance for essential home care services, including:
• Grounds maintenance
• Housekeeping
• Meal preparation
• Personal care
• Professional health and support services
This program is designed to promote independence, safety, and quality of life – allowing Veterans to age with dignity in the place they call home.
Who is Eligible?
You may qualify for VIP if you are:
• A Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces
• A serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces
• A serving or released member of the RCMP
• A surviving spouse of an eligible Veteran or RCMP member
